Amy's Paintings for the Institute on Aging

IMG_3843_edited.jpg

Art has been Amy’s best therapy whenever she’s felt down or stressed about life. She usually gravitates toward drawing scenery, but sometimes dabbles in portraiture as well. Aside from oil-painting, she does a lot of water coloring and collage. She also journals everyday. Those journal spreads are really a hot-mess, with pieces of paper, stickers, doodles and lettering thrown together, but she loves them dearly.

Amy is an undergrad at UC Berkeley studying art history and molecular cellular biology. She is a cofounder of CARE, a student organization at UC Berkeley that recognizes the issues faced by seniors in the United States and organizes virtual talent shows to provide social outlets during pandemic-induced isolation.
